Consequences of liberalization of parallel import in Russia

In this article is being discussed problems and the effects of the parallel import mechanism. Liberalization of parallel imports has a number of positive and negative socio-economic consequences. The purpose of the article is to consider the characteristics of parallel imports and its influence on all spheres of state activity. According to the study, the functioning of the international rule of exhaustion of trademark rights requires thorough refinement at all stages of its implementation. The author believes, that the effective functioning of parallel imports is possible with the establishment of comprehensive control over independent importers. And also the consolidation of all aspects of their activities at the legislative level.
