Postoperative cognitive changes in elderly patients

The analysis of data on the problem of postoperative cognitive impairment in elderly and senile patients is presented. The definition of the concept of postoperative cognitive dysfunction, its etiology and factors contributing to its development, clinical symptoms, features of its diagnosis, as well as factors for preventing POCD and its possible pharmacological correction are considered.
