In this article the process of re emigration of the Russian and Soviet citizens to the Middle Volga region after the Great Patriotic War is analyzed. Special attention is paid to the problem of age and sex structure of the migrants, soviet policy concerning the re emigrants and their socialization in the Soviet society of that time.
