The article deals with the topical ideas of Theory and History of Cultures Studies concerning socio-cultural mechanisms of transferring various types of information in the circumstances of information culture of the contemporary consumer society. The author considers a problem of correlation of traditional and computer literacy in the modern culture and discusses the reasons of the mass effect of post-literacy appearance.
