Establishing a strategic planning system using the balanced scorecard

Establishing an efficient strategic planning system is an especially pressing issue for machinery industry as a basic sector of economy in a country. The strategic planning system, carable of creating executing a cost-increment strategy with high accuracy and quality, is dictated the low investment attractiveness of engineering companies. The present paper considers establishing a strategic planning system. This system enables to orienting processes to implementing the strategy, as well as applies a balanced scorecard connecting functional units by means of defining strategic objectives and measurable indicators detailing and controlling these objectives and thus increasing the efficiency of implementing the strategy oriented towards increasing enterprise value. The BSC was the basic of the presented system. This model is a strategy tool that can describe the strategy and bring its content to each employee. The BSC model involves building f strategic map. The strategic map is based on the example of a mechanical engineering company. It provided an opportunity to develop a system of strategic goals of the company on the main aspects of its activities: finance, clients, processes, potential to achieve the corporate goal of the company - increasing its value.
