The post-Soviet space: realities and prospects (the review of "round table" materials)

In the department of international economic and political studies of the Institute of Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences (OEMEP IE RAS), a regular roundtable was held on the topic: “Post-Soviet Space: Realities and Prospects”. Representatives of the Federation Council and the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Executive Committee of the Union State of Russia and Belarus, the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of “Unrecognized” States (Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Transnistria), representatives of the Supreme Council and the scientific community of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika, scientists of the Russian Academy of Sciences and experts analytical centers. The following sets of questions were highlighted: “Political processes in the CIS and Baltic countries: features of the present stage”, “Social and economic models of new states”, “Problems of national security of the Commonwealth states,“ Unrecognized republics: prospects for recognition ”,“ Russian-speaking population of countries CIS and Baltic.
