The potential of migration processes in the context of ensuring economic security

The study of migration process is essential for national and economic security of the state. The paper discusses migration issues in terms of its positive opportunities for achieving the economic goals of the state (region). The authors explain the impact of migration on the level of GDP/GRP of the host territory. The regression analysis was used to identify the relationship between GRP and migration flows. The model of changing the dynamics of GRP was built, taking into account the characteristics as the number of employed population and migration balance. The calculations showed a direct correlation between the growth of GRP and the number of employed population. The approach to determining the threshold of the indicator “migration security” is proposed taking into account the determination of the permissible boundaries of migrant flows and their impact on the parameters of the migration capacity of the labor market.
