Actual and potential suicide risk factors in adolescents (literature review)

Up-to-date theoretical and empirical research articles on the subject of adolescent and youth suicide risk factors were analyzed in this study. Two groups of suicide risk factors were described: actual psychological status (feelings of hopelessness, loneliness, psychache etc.) and predispositional characteristics (personal traits, parental family relationships etc.). Results of this analysis can serve as a theoretical background for diagnostic package aimed to assess suicide risk in adolescents at an educational institution while implementing primary suicide prevention program.
