Streaming services as a way to organize legal turnover of intellectual property in the music industry, on the example of the social network "VKontakte"

The issue of this article is to review the effectiveness of using digital licensing in the music industry on the internet as an attempt to protect copyright. The author shows how music streaming services influence to regulate and improve the legal and cultural norms and shape the conscientious attitude to intellectual property owners on the internet. The prerequisites for the launching of streaming music services were studied in this article. These services were able to partly settle legal relations between «VKontakte» social network users and rights holders, related to the protection of copyrights in the music industry
