Consumer credit: concept and features

The article studies the concept of consumer credit, its legal nature and essence. We identified the specific features of consumer lending, such as the purpose of lending, the status of the loan debtor and special legal regulation. In order to determine the station of consumer crediting in the system of modern Russian law and its features we analyzed the provisions of Law of the Russian Federation of 07.02.1992 No. 2300-1 "On Protection of Consumer Rights" and the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. Based on the analysis, we substantiated that legal norms governing consumer lending are an intersectoral legal complex, which activity, in general, are assessed by us as positive.
