Input of thoracic and abdominal components of respiratory system at fixed respiratory volume with and without use of external feedback

In men has been studied the role of thoracic and abdominal components of respiratory system using fixed respiratory volume at volumes close to spontaneous respirations. It has been determined that breathing with or without use of external feedback the initial correlations of thoracic and abdominal components are maintained. In the absence of external feedback in conditions of progressive hypoxia and hypercarbia the increase of fixed respiratory volume is determined by its abdominal components. Use of external feedback in given conditions allows the participants to maintain respiratory volume at fixed level thus maintaining initial correlations of thoracic and abdominal components respiratory volume.
