The paper analyses the daily life of students of the Yakut women’s gymnasium. The author, based on archival and published materials, studies the organization of classes, living conditions and leisure of students. In general, the curriculum and the events held within the walls of the Yakut women’s gymnasium did not differ from the national ones. However, it was found that the curriculum of women’s gymnasium provided a limited amount of knowledge compared to the men’s one. The specificity of everyday life of schoolgirls was determined by a complex of factors: the climate of the area, the well-being of their parents, the sanitary and hygienic conditions of the classroom. A characteristic feature of life of educational institutions at the beginning of the 20th century in Russia was students’ participation in the revolutionary movement. Students and graduates of the Yakut women’s gymnasium, who became members of revolutionary circles and active participants in revolutionary events and the Civil War in Yakutia afterwards, were no exception.
