The period of the Great Patriotic War became a difficult test for the inhabitants of the Krasnodar Territory. The second half of 1942 was especially difficult, the time of the occupation of the Kuban by the Nazi troops, associated with numerous casualties among the population, human suffering, and the destruction of the economic infrastructure of the region. By October 9, 1943, the invaders were finally expelled. But already in February 1943, the Liberation of most regions began, it was time to restore peaceful life and economic activity. It was accompanied by enormous difficulties associated with the solution of numerous problems generated by the war, which made it difficult to carry out measures to restore the national economy, social justice and improve the standard of living of the population. The article reflects the everyday life of the Ryazan region of the Krasnodar Territory, recorded in the documents of the district committee of the CPSU(b), dating from the second half of 1943.
