An improved breathing apparatus to increase the safety of firefighters and rescuers

Бесплатный доступ

When performing emergency rescue operations and extinguishing fires, firefighters and rescuers are faced with exposure to fire hazards, as a result of which they may need to send a distress signal. To improve the safety of firefighters and rescuers, an improved insulating breathing apparatus is proposed, which allows a distress signal to be sent during emergency response and rescue operations. The design of the apparatus provides a device for a forced air supply to an alarm whistle. In an accident, the distress signal must be heard by other firefighters. A mathematical expression for determining the distance from the sound source depending on the sound pressure levels generated by the signal is obtained. The solutions will ensure the timely delivery of a distress signal to firefighters and, consequently, increase their safety.
