Increasing the information transparency of the business environment as a key advantage of the digital ecosystem

In this article, the author examines the phenomenon of the digital business ecosystem from the point of view of its impact on the effectiveness of the market environment. The author examines the essence of the digital ecosystem and identifies a number of technological services that are the basis of any ecosystem. The similarities of the concepts “digital ecosystem”, “cluster” and “digital platform” are described and the specific features of the ecosystem are highlighted. The advantages of the digital ecosystem received by its participants are highlighted, such as positive externalities, reduction of transaction costs, simplification of the procedure for making purchase decisions, etc. In addition, its positive impact on the business environment as a whole is highlighted. In particular, it was noted that the ecosystem can assume the role of a regulator in relations between participants, providing mechanisms for resolving disputes and conflicts. The author concludes that the main value that the development of digital ecosystems brings to the market environment is to increase its information transparency.
