Improving the effectiveness of financing the healthcare system at the regional level

The article reflects the developed recommendations for improving the effectiveness of regional financing of the healthcare system. The results of the author’s analysis of the financial support of the healthcare system of the subjects of the Russian Federation made it possible to assess the current situation in the regions and propose a gradual introduction of a mechanism (model) for analyzing economic efficiency, including implementation in individual healthcare institutions and further in the entire healthcare system in individual subjects of the Russian Federation. The methodological recommendations may be of interest to government agencies at relevant levels involved in budget planning and execution, heads of medical institutions, and expert groups that will analyze the effectiveness of using budgetary funds, including territorial mandatory medical insurance funds. The materials of the article may also be of interest to representatives of the professional sphere, researchers, the public, teachers and students of specialized universities.
