Increase of efficiency of gas distribution in the accelerating channel of an electrojet engine

The article presents results of researches of the influence of modes of gas feeding to a cavity of a discharge chamber on the basis critical parameters and characteristics of electrojet engines. Increase of operating effect of electroget engines is reached at the expense of, first, additional distribution of gas on depth of the discharge chamber by placing ports of injection of gas directly to an input in an ionization zone, and, secondly, by orientation of ports of injection of gas so that submitted gas mainly moved along an input in an ionization zone. Tests were spent on models of a various standard size in a range of working capacities from 100 Vt to 2,3 kw, including modes of operation at high discharge voltage.
