Improvement of efficiency of non-core assets of an enterprise: problems and solutions

The article deals with approaches to the management of non-core assets as a part of the infrastructure of modern enterprises. It has been found, that the current methods of non-core assets management solve the only problem of reducing current costs of an enterprise through releasing of unprofitable assets. The authors present a balanced approach to the non-core assets management in the interests of enterprises, their work teams, and managers of the holding companies. Possible sale of assets is suggested to consider in the context of the balance of the interests of a company, its alternative use as motivation of the staff, as well as the advantages from the revenue obtained after the sale.
