The article discusses the support of the full product life cycle (LC) of mechanical objects, which is very important. The consumer is a full member of the LC passes the stages of operation, so the manufacturer is obliged to provide it with operational documents. Support of the operation stage - the complexity of the perception, development and maintenance of operational documents submitted in paper form. The experience of domestic enterprises in the development of interactive electronic technical manuals (ietr) is given.
