Increase of effectiveness of the complex alloyed and high alloys casting into mold from above

The issues connected with the development of the technology of the complex alloyed and high alloys and steel casting into the mold from above are concerned. Different casting methods of the above mention steel class that allows to increase the recovery due to decrease of splashing during casting and increase in efficiency are analyzed. The method of steel and alloy casting from above including locating an interstitial hollow tetrahedral element (shield) characterized with refractoriness, density lower than that one of the steel and low thermal conductivity is offered. The mold has not got the bottom, it has opening in the form of the angled-surface truncated pyramid the external dimension of which is equal to the feeder head interior.
