The article describes the sintering obtained powder and mesh porous materials with a brief discussion of their main characteristics. The range of applications of such porous materials in the newly created structures for the military industry, construction industry, agro-industrial complex, technical service, medicine, and domestic needs is indicated. Mentioned is the creation of software systems for the automation of very cumbersome and complex mathematical calculations for the developed designs of various heat exchangers with porous matrices. Significant positive aspects of the use of various porous structures in various designs of heat exchangers with a porous filler are indicated. It also indicates obvious difficulties in organizing the flow of coolant through the porous structure. All of the above prompts to look for new ways to improve the efficiency and improve the designs of heat exchangers and the characteristics of sintered powder and mesh porous materials. In this regard, a brief analysis is given of all kinds of versatile changes in the physical, structural and geometric characteristics of both the porous materials themselves and the designs of heat exchangers as a whole. Various options for the organization of heat exchange and coolant flow using sintered powder and mesh porous materials as a filler in various heat exchangers are discussed.
