Improving the competitiveness of the management staff of tourism enterprises

The approaches to improving the competitiveness of the management staff of tourist enterprises are considered. It was found out that the level of competitiveness is an important characteristic of management personnel. Nevertheless, it is formed by a statistical estimate for a certain period of time. In order to maintain a high level of competitiveness, management personnel, according to reproductive and dynamic approaches, must constantly improve their skills, improve and develop. Therefore, management should not only assess the level of competitiveness of management personnel, but also investigate trends in competitiveness indicators using the growth rate. It is established that in order to assess the trend of changes in the indicators of competitiveness of managerial personnel, four groups should be distinguished: employees whose level of competitiveness is growing rapidly; growing; does not change or falls; falls rapidly. Based on certain levels and dynamics of competitiveness, it is possible to build a matrix for assessing the competitiveness of management personnel, which is based on a combination of dividing employees into groups depending on the level of competitiveness and the growth rate of competitiveness. The combination of these two classification groups gives 16 competitive positions, depending on the achieved level of competitiveness and the ability to maintain, increase or, conversely, the inability to maintain this level in tourism enterprises.
