Advanced training for rural teachers in creative technologies for educational work with schoolchildren

The research problem and the rationale for its relevance. Contemporary challenges in the general education system necessitate a rethinking of approaches to educational work, particularly in rural schools where teachers often face a shortage of resources, methodological support, and opportunities for professional growth. In the context of digital transformation in education and sociocultural changes, the importance of creative technologies as a tool for developing the educational potential of the school environment is increasing. The research problem lies in the insufficient scientific and methodological development of mechanisms for the advanced training of rural teachers in the context of preparing them to use digital creative technologies in educational activities. The goal of research is to theoretically substantiate, develop, and test a model for preparing rural schoolteachers to apply digital creative educational practices within the framework of additional professional education. The methodological foundation of the study is based on systemic, activity- based, and competency-based approaches, employing methods of scientific literature analysis, surveys, observation, and pedagogical modeling. The research was conducted as part of the project “Creative Technologies in Educational Work with Schoolchildren: Advanced Training for Rural Teachers”, supported by a grant from the Head of the Chuvash Republic for the development of civil society. The empirical data were obtained from a study involving 476 rural teachers from various municipal districts of the Chuvash Republic. In the course of the work, a model for the advanced training of rural teachers was developed, focusing on the integration of creative technologies into educational work by incorporating digital and technical resources into the educational process. The results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed approach and demonstrate its practical significance for the system of additional professional education for teachers.
