Complex examination of 115 patients with chronic radiation sickness who had worked at atomic enterprise 13-16 years ago and been exposed to systematic external gamma-radiation with integrated dose as a rule exceeded 200 R was performed. There was possibility that α- and β-emitting isotopes entered a body, their amount as a rule did not exceed limiting permitted concentration. Recovery of the blood, nervous, cardio-vascular system was observed in the examined people after termination of their work under exposure to radiation. The recovery more often was observed in people with less radiation dose, as well as in those who rationally changed the labour activity, as a result of systematic out-patient, in-patient, sanatorium treatment. No neoplasms were detected at that period.
