The purpose of this study was to study fire safety measures and their viability in buildings, the necessary measures are based on technologies. Buildings should be designed in such a way that residents can independently escape in the event of a fire. However, case studies show that residents are often unable to escape in time and often undermine the precautions necessary to prevent or escape a fire. The research methodology was based on incident assessments and real-world experiments, such as unannounced evacuation exercises. The possibilities of virtual reality for studying human behavior in fires are still hardly accepted by researchers. However, since subjects can safely experience the fire phenomenon in virtual environments, and data has also been collected from books, journals, journals, and related articles, it is expected that the application of the virtual reality behavior assessment and research tool will be a valuable addition to existing research methods.
