The article reveals the essence of the positioning of the enterprise as a marketing strategy for the development of the organization. The main aspects of positioning are considered on the example of the multifunctional cargo sea port complex in stevedoring activity of transport logistics. The main advantages of the enterprise with the help of which the positioning of the port and the terminal operator is carried out in comparison with other ports of the North-Western region of the Baltic basin are highlighted.
