Cognitive activity of junior preschool children

The article covers various interpretations of the cognitive activities concept by some authors, its components and development features in junior preschool age. The author selects and systematizes approaches of the leading academicians on this subject matter, which determines the timeliness of the article. The studied category is sufficiently covered by research literature. Despite the frequent occurrence of the “activity" term in the psychological and educational literature, this concept appears to be a complicated and ambiguous in researchers’ interpretations. Some of them consider activity to be functioning, while the others - functioning results, the third argue it is a wider conception than the functioning.
