The article treats various ways of expression of evaluative statements in order to form in the process of reasoning the opinion and to impact on the addressee. Evaluative judgment as one of the pragmatically directed elements of reasoning involves the selection of certain lexical and syntactic elements that can cause the addressee a certain emotional reaction.
