Practice of ESG-principles implementation by Russian pipe metallurgy companies

Pipe metallurgy is distinguished by the high technical level of equipment and quality of resources, as well as the constant improvement of technologies used in production. In this regard, one of the ways to ensure competitive advantages in the steel pipe market is to introduce ESG principles into the activities of pipe companies. This article examines the prerequisites for the formation of an ESG strategy in the activities of large businesses in various economic sectors, and examines the content and direction of action of various ESG factors. The practice of implementing ESG principles in Russian pipe metallurgy was studied using the example of one of the leading companies in this market segment. In conclusion, in the context of the above, investing in ESG financing instruments (ESG loans or ESG bonds) is highlighted as a direction for the development of companies in the Russian pipe industry.
