Governmental commissions for road traffic safety in the system of state road safety authority

The article deals with the regulatory framework for the operation of such state actors in road safety, as government commissions. The main functions of government commissions are singled out, features of work of the governmental commissions on maintenance of safety of traffic are analyzed on an example of the Chelyabinsk area. The author concludes that the governmental commissions play the role of an external structure that comprehensively examines issues that are within the competence of several agencies at once, which makes it possible to ensure coordination between them and the implementation of a unified state policy to ensure road safety.
