The paper discusses issues of legal connection between such fundamental rights as the right to labour and the right to education within the scope of labour relations. It also analyses labour law rules which either encourage employees and employers to advance employees' education level or protect their rights. Besides, the paper gives reasons for substitution of the notions professional training, retraining and professional development with the term occupational training. It's important to note that the professional education system covers all types of training mentioned above.
