Violations of law in the regulatory documents of Russian state in the X-XV centuries

Introduction: the paper discusses peculiarities of regulating some types of law violations using regulatory treaties of the Russian state in the period of Kievan Rus’, feudal fragmentation and at the initial stage of the Moscow State centralization, and identifies the value of a regulatory treaty as an authority both in the international and in the inter-state relations, including with account of the authority hierarchy. Materials and methods: regulatory base of studies has been formed by statutory treaties of Kievan Rus’, Novgorod and Pskov, and by those of the Hanseatic cities, as well as by regulatory legal acts, historical law memorials such as Russkaya Pravda (Russian Justice), Novgorod Treaty and others. Methodology of studies is based on a general dialectical method of scientific knowledge, methods of empirical and theoretical nature, i. e., descriptions, formalizations, comparisons, analysis, generalization, deduction and induction, hypotheses, and specific legal methods (technical, and comparative law research)...
