Law enforcement aspects of the choice of supervision for a juvenile suspect or accused as a preventive measure during a preliminary investigation

Introduction: the article deals with law enforcement aspects of supervision of minors suspected or accused as a preventive measure during a preliminary investigation. Materials and Methods: the article is prepared on the basis of the study of current legislation, statistical data, theoretical positions on the topic under consideration, materials of criminal cases, opinions of practitioners conducting preliminary investigation in criminal cases. When writing the article, the main method of cognition - the dialectical method, as well as methods of analysis and synthesis, comparative legal, statistical and formal logical methods - are used. Results: the authors in the process of reviewing the general procedural rules for the selection of a preventive measure - supervision - determined that in relation to juvenile suspects or accused persons it is advisable to choose this particular special preventive measure.
