Бесплатный доступ

The paper shows complex and contradictory process of relations between the Soviet State and Russian Orthodox Church in the extreme conditions of wartime. The paper reveals essence and causes of new religious policy of Stalin’s regime. Based on example of activities of the Party-State bureaucracy of the Urals, the paper demonstrates willingness of bureaucracy to restrict religious feelings of people as well as willingness for total control over ecclesiastical structures and institutions. It is concluded that compromise was tactical and Government used this compromise for consolidation of society in the fight against external enemy.
