The article considers the staff of the regional unit of the Russian Orthodox Church - Ulan-Ude and Buryat diocese - in the conditions of post-Soviet Russia. At a time when, in spite of the consequences of the Soviet secularization (in the context of the «Path Dependence» theory, which is named among researchers as “dependency on preceding development”), the religious revival in its institutional forms has been performed.
