The Article is dedicated to the study of the Orthodox conceptions of the future of the Russian state found in the documents of the Russian Orthodox Church and in the writings of contemporary Orthodox authors. The article discusses the concept of the symphony of the church and state, and some aspects of their interaction. The сlassification of Orthodox conceptions of the future state is proposed and the characteristics of the centrist, fundamentalist and liberal directions of Orthodox ideology are given. The conceptions of contemporary Russian Orthodox authors about the basic elements of the theory of the state: the form of government, the form of state structure, the political regime, functions and mechanism of the state are analysed.
