Legal culture as a factor of gender identification of a Chechen woman

The gender aspect of identity in the legal culture of modern Chechen society is considered in the article. Methodological basis of the research is the idea that in the Chechen Republic along with the legal institutions of federal legislation coexist the moral and ethical sets of traditional Chechen culture in the form of adats (verbal laws), as well as Islamic religious and legal institution represented by Muftiyat (Islamic High Council) and Shariah laws. The author analyzes the opinion polls of people, attending the studies on human rights (training courses, workshops, lectures) for 10 months (from March 2008 to December 2008).
