Legal protection of design: foreign experience

The peculiarities of correlation of design protection regimes in foreign law are considered in the article. Analyzing the mechanisms of protection of design solutions, the author highlights two areas of problems associated with the relationship between copyright and patent forms of design protection and the specific protection of design solutions by the rules on intellectual property designations. The conclusion is made that some mechanisms may be positively perceived by the domestic legislator.
