The legal nature of a share as a financial instrument

This article substantiates the relevance and reflects the formulation of the problem of forming a legal structure and fixing the legal definition of a share in its meaning not only as a security paper, but also as a financial instrument. The analysis of historical and legal conditions for the development of ideas about shares in relation to the main norms of Russian legislation allows us to determine some approaches to the harmonization of traditional views on shares as securities with the requirements of modern legislation on financial markets, which operates with the basic concept of "financial instrument".
