Legal regulation of priests` appointment in buddhist communities of the Ural Cossack forces in the middle and the second half of the 19th century

The article deals with the transferring of Buddhist kazakhs-kalmyks regiments of Ural Cossack forces to the jurisdiction of regional Russian authorities. The author defines the limits of power of the Ural regional government attorney. He points that the confessional isolation of Ural Buddhists from the religious Russian buddhist centers produced difficulties with the training of literate clergy.
