Legal state: genesis of idea and features of the legal state

The article is devoted to the issues of genesis of the idea of the legal state. In the article the author's conception of the features of the legal state is proposed concerning the Russian modern state. The development of political and legal doctrine in the homeland and foreign jurisprudence has been thoroughly analyzed. As the features of the Russian legal state are considered: 1) supremacy of the Constitution of the Russian Federation; 2) legal provision of the state service to common weal; 3) legal guarantees of society independence; 4) guaranteeing of human rights and freedoms.
