The legal regulation of ecological tourism in the Republic of Tatarstan

The article discusses some topical issues of the eco-tourism development in our country, discusses the prospects for its operating and positive impact on the economy, ecology, the formation of environmentally oriented thinking in modern society. The authors draw attention to the need to form an effective legal framework for eco-tourism, both at the federal and regional levels, analyze the legal definitions of this category and other norms of current legislation and subordinate regulatory legal acts in the field under study. The regional experience of legal regulation and organization of ecotourism is considered on the example of the Republic of Tatarstan, which is a promising tourist cluster in ecological terms. All this made it possible to formulate conclusions about the objective need to develop legal policy strategies for regulating ecotourism based on the principles of environmental protection, the development of environmental education, and the promotion of nature conservation. At the same time, these strategies should be scientifically sound, which requires further interdisciplinary research, due to the multidimensional and increased social responsibility of the provision of services in the field of eco-tourism. The authors conclude that it is necessary to issue a regulatory legal act implementing comprehensive regulation of ecological tourism.
