The paper examines the main approaches to the use of design technology in legal awareness-raising work with young offenders in isolation from society, determines the practical importance of the use of project-based learning in the formation of legal behavior and legal awareness of this category of children. It also presents the structural- meaningful description of the project technology and the basic requirements for the use of project-based learning in legal awareness-raising work in secure institutions.
