The legal status of the control and accounting body of the municipality

This article presents and analyzes the relevant aspects of the legal status of the control and accounting bodies of municipalities in the Russian Federation which is associated with the existing contradictions in the legal regulation of this institution. Particularly, the article analyzes the realization of the principles of independence and autonomy in the activities of control and accounting bodies of municipalities along with the problems of bringing to administrative responsibility in the course of control measures.
