Legal aspects of counter-terrorism: strategy and methods of efficiency improvement in Russia

Terrorism is a major threat to the national security. Counter-terrorism strategy can only be created on the basis of an effective constitutional and legal framework. The article examines the main legal aspects of the counter-terrorism activities. The authors emphasize that the anti-terrorism legislation of the Russian Federation must comply with the international laws on this issue, as well as continuously improve and keep up to date. The high role of information technology in the fight against terrorism and extremism is highlighted.
