Legal horizons of security: integration of scientific and criminal legal aspects. XX international scientific and practical conference “Kovalevsky readings”

In 2024, the anniversary XX International Scientific and Practical Conference “Kovalev Readings” was held, which was dedicated to the legal horizons of security. Security within the framework of the conference was understood according to the current normative regulation as a state of protection of the state, society, citizens from internal and external threats. In this regard, within the framework of both the plenary session and individual sections, the issues of ensuring the security of the state, society, business and citizens were considered. The speakers addressed in their speeches primarily the issues of state security: military, economic, ideological, informational. Within the framework of separate sections, the issues of legal regulation of the security of justice, individual rights and freedoms, and business protection were discussed. The speakers at the conference discussed issues of ensuring the security of the state and society from both internal and external threats. At the same time, the current political and economic situation in the country made these discussions very relevant and debatable. New challenges and threats to the security of various entities related to the use of artificial intelligence and new information technologies were widely discussed.
