The legal foundations of police activities concerned with prevention of offences

The paper identifies the main objectives of the police on prevention of offenses. The author describes the main functions of the Crime Prevention Center acting on a permanent basis in the structure of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, and designates its role in the prevention of offenses. The paper characterizes the normative legal acts aimed at improving the police officers' work on crime prevention.
