Legal bases and problematic issues of the use of firearms, special means and fighting techniques by police officers

This article is devoted to the problems of effective and competent use of coercive measures by police officers in accordance with the current regulatory legal acts, including the possibility of using weapons and special means in conditions of high psycho - emotional stress that always arises in an extreme situation to solve problems. The article examines the cause - and - effect relationships that point to the roots of the problem: from ignorance of the regulatory framework by police officers and a low level of professional and physical training, to fear of further consequences from the unlawful use of special measures. The analysis of factors contributing to the rapid, high - quality and lawful use of weapons, special means and forceful methods of influence by police officers presented in the article indicates the need for an integrated approach in training police officers using standard introductory tasks and practicing actions with elements of surprise.
