Legal foundations of public control in the sphere of nature management and environmental protection in Russia

The article discusses the state of the legal foundations of the public control as one of the elements of the legal mechanism ensuring the rational nature management and environmental protection in Russia. The author evaluates the legislative changes and suggests amendments to the existing legislation. The differences between the public environmental management and public land management are considered, it is concluded that they have a common goal - to provide rational environmental management and environmental protection.
