The legal features of rules of international law according to the principles concerning use of nuclear power sources in outer space

The objects launched in space need power sources. However the international law does not set any restrictions on their use. The author gives a historical prerequisite of formation of the international legal mode of use of nuclear sources. The author carried out the analysis of the Principles concerning use of nuclear power sources in outer space and their disadvantages are revealed. Dynamic scientific and technical progress demands constant improvement of the principles and norms in this sphere. The author gives an important role to cooperation of the states. It is offered to develop at the international level the procedure of cooperation between the member states of the UN and IAEA having control devices behind space and tracking space objects on Earth orbits. It would provide objective information on possible return to the atmosphere of nuclear power sources.
